Fashion designer Victoria Beckham debuted her exclusive Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2014 collection at New York fashion week on Saturday. Victoria, 39, demonstrated a number of sleek and sophisticated minimal designs in a mostly muted monochrome palette complete with some ultra-feminine flashes of fuchsia that really made the collection pop.
Taking the catwalk in a crisp white shirt, black stiletto’s and black cropped trousers, Victoria greeted the crowd where Vogue editor Anna Wintour looked on. Wintour was also sat next to Victoria’s husband David, 38 who was spotted bouncing their super cute two-year-old daughter Harper on his knee.
The collection featured a mix of both flirtatious ladylike shapes and tailored masculine silhouette with city shorts and pleated skirts showing off her versatility. Victoria tends to honour tradition rather than trends and her collection certainly had a grown-up timeless feel to it that reflected Victoria’s strong personal style. Each model sported a slicked back ponytail with a hairband and low-key fresh faced make up. Lines were clean and classic with a touch of modernism whilst accessories were sharp with cool geometric detailing.
No doubt Victoria will be introducing a new line of Victoria Beckham sunglasses to complete her summer look next year. We can’t wait!
