The ‘Not Black Friday Sale’

Like many retailers, black Friday is a pretty manic time here at B Sunglasses. Since 1932, the name Black Friday has been given to the start of the festive shopping period in America. It normally involves retailers opening up particularly early and offering up discounts and promotional sales on their products.

According to Wikipedia, the earliest evidence of the phrase Black Friday applied to the day after Thanksgiving in a shopping context suggests that the term originated in Philadelphia, where it was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic that would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. History has seen normal human beings turn in to shopping-mall savages on this day all in the name of a bargain. As years have gone by the Black Friday phenomenon has become a worldwide event after travelling overseas to the UK through Wallmart sister company ASDA, and has also been taken on by the online marketplace. With it’s growing popularity the day has also seen an alarming amount of hysteria in shops… thank god we’re only online here at B Sunglasses.

Thankfully, since 2014 Black Friday has seen a bit of a decline. Hopefully restoring the world to some kind of normality. Although looking back at 2016 I think that ship has well and truly sailed. As a finger up to the madness of Black Friday, here at B Sunglasses we are holding a huge site wide sale with up to 70% off for 2 whole weeks. That means you don’t have to set your alarm for 6am on Friday to frantically hunt out your other halves Christmas gifts on the cheap.

To celebrate our Not Black Friday Sale, here’s some products that have gone in the sale for some nice Christmas gift ideas.
