Spring/Summer Sunglasses Trends

With Spring well under-way, or so it seems, we thought it was about time we shared a little trend inspiration with you to help style the coolest shades this Spring/Summer. From contemporary twists on the classic aviator to slightly more quirky frames and the newest Ray-Ban® additions, we have plenty to go around. So let’s get started…

 Geometric

Geometric patterns were a must when it came to the SS16 runways, from garments to accessories and of course eyewear. Marni was one of many designers who introduced the unique shades into their show, with beige and coral being two of the signature colours.

You will find there are so many different shapes of geometric glasses out there meaning there is something for every face shape. From small oval frames to oversized half rim frames like the ones below, with so many options to chose from there will definitely be a perfect pair for you! Aviator

We all know you can’t go wrong with the classic aviator. Aviator’s are the go too glasses for every occasion, Ray-Ban® being the most popular brand of this model. Coming in so many different colours and sizes they simply can’t go out of fashion, timeless springs to mind!

We were overwhelmed when Stella McCartney released something that added a little modern twist to the so-called “classics”. With bold frames and an even bolder nose bridge these oversized aviators could be just what you are after this Spring. Want something similar?

Obscure Shapes

It is rather rare to have something quite so obscure on the runway, well then it comes to sunglasses anyway. We are used to seeing oversized, cateye, bold frames etc, however recently we have noticed some simply oddly shaped sunglasses, but we aren’t complaining. They are amazing. I mean who wouldn’t want one lens being a star and the other a heart?

MIU MIU is a brand who is known for their misshapen and quirky frames. Fancy some of these for the summer? Shop our MIU MIU collection here.

Cat-eye and Round Combo

Cat-eye is major trend that has thankfully made a come back in the last few years, but now Fendi have answered all of our prayers by mashing together two of the nations favourite frames into one. A round frame with an added cat-eye. What more could you want? We have an amazing collection of Fendi sunglasses over at B Sunglasses, shop now.

Reflective Lenses

Chanel was one of many brands that hit us with reflective lenses for this season as seen on Kendall Jenner. Along with designers such as Fendi and Carolina Herrera who showed us that mirrored lenses can work with any type of frame. Whether they are over-sized or small round frames as long as they’ve got mirrored lenses then your winning. We have some Prada Sport sunglasses that are perfect for this trend.
