As of October 2013, the exclusive new Chloé sunglasses collection by French luxury brand Chloé will be available right here at B Sunglasses.
The collection is set to feature a selection of subtle gold-tipped Aviators, glamorous oversize frames with jewel temple detail and elegant studded cateye sunglasses which reflect the brands feminine, free spirited image. The Gold Scallop Detail square sunglasses and Myrte Sunglasses are both favourites with the celebrity crowd and are suitably timeless and elegant.
A Brief History
Established in 1952 by Egyptian born Parisian fashion designer Gaby Aghion, Chloé stands today as one of the most highly coveted designer brands in the industry with a collection that has spanned from Aghion soft-body conscious couture to handbags, jewelry, fragrances and sunglasses.
Aghion set out to create what she labelled as Prêt-à-Porter (Ready-To-Wear) clothing that would flattered the female figure and could crafted in high quality luxury fabrics; Chloé clothing would be made by women for women.
In 1966, current Chanel director Karl Lagerfeld joined as Head Designer and pushed Chloé to become one of the most influential brands of the 1970s with instantly recognisable ad campaigns including the iconic image of a woman inside a perfume bottle with the tag ‘A woman does not put on my fragrance, she enters it’. The Chloé woman was to be modern, free and emancipated; she did not try to be anyone but herself and her inner charm was part of her natural beauty. For this reason women such as Brigitte Bardot, Jackie Kennedy and Maria Callas sought to buy from the Chloé boutique.
In the 1980s Martine Sitbon helped Chloé become a cutting edge and timeless brand whilst Phoebe Philo and Stella McCartney defined the brands new contemporary image in the 1990s before it was taken over in 2011 by current Creative Director Clare Waight Keller. Keller, who previously designed for Pringle, Gucci and Tom Ford, reportedly ‘fell in love’ with the French design house and its heritage.
Today model Chloe Sevigny is one of the former spokespeople for Chloé and the fashion house have just finished showing their Spring/Summer 2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week in which Chloé displayed their signature style clean-cut, free flowing designs in muted tones.
We at B Sunglasses are extremely excited to welcome back Chloé sunglasses to our ever growing collection of luxury brands and new manufacturers Marchon have been promoting the brand newest frames across all platforms.
Last month, musician and X-Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger was spotted at the X-Factor press launch in a pair of yellow oval Chloé sunglasses paired with a stunning navy blue jumpsuit. The Myrte sunglasses she wore have been spotted on Naomi Campbell and Paris Hilton and are distinguishable by the gold corner detail on the eye-pieces.
If they’re good enough for some of the biggest names in fashion, they are good enough for us.
