We’ve been enjoying the Easter excitement and relaxation this week. We hope you’re all filling up on choccy eggs as well as following our wonderful egg hunt around the B Sunglasses site. Read on to find out more and hear about all the latest eyewear news…
This week B Sunglasses have been busy exploring the spring paradise of Fukuoka. A less-traveled, but equally magnificent, area of Japan. During spring, the iconic cherry blossoms come out in force, blessing the region with the finest display of nature’s beauty. As well as exploring Japan, we welcomed a new collection from Moncler. The luxury brand shone at Milan Fashion Week with their forward thinking approach to style and showcasing their collection. The new arrivals posses the same innovative design and creativity from Moncler and should be on the top of your wish list for the upcoming warmer season.
We also launched an exciting egg hunt around our site. Our eggs have been hidden throughout the website, so keep your eyes peeled. Each egg has its own unique discount code to be redeemed on our eyewear.
In other fantastic news, last week saw the continuing rise of fur-free fashion among our favourite designers. Donatella Versace announced Versace’s decision to stop the use of fur throughout their collections. This move, as well as similar decisions by other brands, is changing the history of fashion and it’s positive effect on our planet. Read our fur-free fashion blog to find out which other best-loved designers are using sustainable and cruelty-free methods.
Headlining the eyewear world this week are, surprisingly, music legend Elvis Presley’s sunglasses. The singer’s chrome and plastic custom sunglasses went for a whopping $159,000 – the highest price ever paid at auction for a pair of Presley’s sunglasses. Elvis has been photographed wearing the sunnies on numerous occasions, and the Los Angeles auction saw collectors and fans from around the world frantically bidding for them. Also sold at the auction for $18,450, were Steve McQueen’s Persol 714 folding sunglasses. The auction sure showcased some pretty expensive eyewear.
Our favourite explorers have been busy this week…
Charlotte Fisher stepped out in Dubai meeting camels, wearing a bright red swimsuit and a pair of Gucci sunglasses.
Days later and Charlotte had jetted off to Japan for another adventure. She looked pretty in pink wearing Tom Ford glasses and tucking into some giant candyfloss.
Our favourite cycle club Muckle, styled their whole race team with our Oakley Jawbreakers. Copy their sporty style here…
Check back here the same time next week for all the latest eyewear news and have a great Easter.
