We’ve got new eyewear technology and plenty of style inspiration this week. Read on to find out more…
More huge advances in eyewear technology this week. It’s impossible to tell where science will take the industry next. The Royal National Theatre have been trying and testing their new Smart Caption Glasses. The design gives a revolutionary new way for people with hearing loss to watch theatre. The headset is manufactured in partnership with Epson and is slightly heavier than a normal pair of reading glasses but still comfortable to wear throughout an entire show. When wearing the glasses, you will see a transcript of the dialogue and descriptions of the sound from the performance displayed on the lenses of the glasses. Now, people with hearing loss can enjoy theatre to the full. The Royal National Theatre plans to make the glasses available for all of its performances for the 2019 season.
As for our favourite style icons, this week they’ve been living the dream as usual.
Sagr Hamdan gave us some stunning morning aesthetics with his coffee, leather card holder and the Gucci Vintage Web Metal Square Sunglasses in Black.
Alina Paul delivered street wear perfection in her Gucci Peaked Round Sunglasses in Black.
Olympic athlete Sonny Webster chilled by the harbour in his Tom Ford Nicholai 02 Sunglasses.
Jacob Zar also put on his Tom Ford’s for a striking close up shoot. Here he wears the Tom Ford Stephanie frames.
That’s all the news for this week. Happy Sunday everyone!
