B Sunglasses Round-up | Sunglasses News May 1 – 7 | News

Welcome back to another B Sunglasses Round-up. Each week here at B Sunglasses, we try to find out the biggest sunglasses news stories and put them in one place. We also try to tell you about anything exciting in the B Sunglasses HQ, with everything from competitions and giveaways to big sales and special events. Last week, we looked at the exciting news that Jimmy Choo had put itself up for sale and we talked about our amazing buying trip to Edinburgh to secure a huge range of new designer sunglasses for our collection. This week, we’re talking about how we’ve teamed up with Bells Shoes to offer our customers a chance to save money on their next pair of shoes. And we’re also talking about an exciting video by a local YouTuber featuring our sunglasses!

We’ve Teamed Up with Bells Shoes

If you are signed-up to our newsletter, then you’ll have received a surprising message this week offering 20% off your first purchase at Bells Shoes. This is because we’ve teamed up with Bells Shoes to help our customers take advantage of their special offer and huge range of gorgeous shoes. Don’t worry if you aren’t signed up to our newsletter (although you totally should sign up!) because you can take advantage of Bells Shoes special offer by signing up to their newsletter and then using the code ‘WELCOMETOUS’ at the checkout.

Like us, Bells Shoes is a large specialist fashion retailer based in the UK, and as most of their products are worn on your feet, we’re pretty confident that they’re not our competitors and we’re keen to support them! Bells Shoes are celebrating 10 years online, which is a pretty big milestone. We hope a few of our loyal, ultra-fashionable regular customers will check them out.

Brand in the Spotlight: Ray-Ban®

Ray-Ban® doesn’t need an introduction. It is the biggest brand in the eyewear industry and it has been for some time. Earlier this week, Eve wrote a comprehensive blog post about Ray-Ban®, which you can read here. I don’t want to repeat too much, but I want to include a mini brand spotlight here.

Ray-Ban® was founded in 1937 by the medical supplies company Bausch & Lomb. A few years earlier,  Bausch & Lomb had been asked by a US Army Air Corps Colonel to develop sunglasses for US pilots that would protect their eyes from the fierce sunlight when flying so high in the sky. Over several years, the classic Aviator design was developed, and when it was ready in 1937, Bausch & Lomb set up a new brand, Ray-Ban®, to lead the way in glasses and sunglasses design.

Over the years, Ray-Ban® has been responsible for other iconic designs – most notably its Clubmasters and Wayfarers. The brand has been able to innovate old designs too, ensuring it always stays on top of its industry. However, being the top dog comes at a price, as there are so many fake Ray-Ban® out there. These fakes are never made to Ray-Ban® peerless high quality and they sometimes don’t even provide protection from the Sun’s UV rays, which can be hugely dangerous as people wear them in the sun for long periods of time. This has become more and more of a problem over the years. We’d like to reassure our customers that all of our Ray-Ban® are authentic and that we are an authorised Ray-Ban® reseller. But you don’t have to take our word for it. You can visit Ray-Ban® Store Locator and find us there.

All this Ray-Ban® chat has probably reminded you of how much you love Ray-Ban®! So make sure you check out our Ray-Ban® Sunglasses and Ray-Ban® Glasses. And here’s a little taste of some of our current favourites:

Ray-Ban® Outdoorsman II Sunglasses in Shiny Bronze Light Gradient Grey

Ray-Ban® Ja Jo Metal Round Sunglasses in Shiny Copper Dark Violet

Ray-Ban® Round Double Bridge Sunglasses in Gold Havana

Ray-Ban® Round Double Bridge Sunglasses in Black

Marc Jacobs – New Season Now in at B Sunglasses

We’re really pleased to announce that the new season of Marc Jacobs sunglasses is now available at B Sunglasses. The Marc Jacobs brand was founded in 1986 in New York, by its founder and namesake, Marc Jacob. The brand won fashion prizes in its first year and it has been a celebrated for over thirty years for its sophisticated aesthetic that combines whimsy and eccentricity with luxury and grace.

The new Marc Jacobs sunglasses season has big, bold designs with a luxurious, sophisticated aesthetic. The thick frames and dark colour palette look great and they tie in perfectly with current eyewear trends. Check out the entire Marc Jabobs sunglasses collection today.

Saturday Delivery Costs at B Sunglasses are now Even Cheaper!

We’re pleased to announce that the cost for Saturday delivery from B Sunglasses is now significantly cheaper. As our courier has reduced their price, we can now charge £8.50 for Saturday deliveries. This is a saving of £2.99 that we’ve been able to pass on to our customers. We hope this price drop encourages people to order more Saturday deliveries – perhaps because they need their sunglasses for the weekend, or perhaps just because they don’t want to wait a second longer than necessary for their next stunning pair of designer sunglasses!

The Best Men’s SUNGLASSES for Summer 2017

Lastly, but by no means least, Jake from B Sunglasses and local men’s lifestyle YouTuber Louis Armstrong made a video about men’s sunglasses trends for this summer. Louis puts out some incredibly helpful and entertaining videos about hair, fashion, travel, and fitness, so we’re really pleased that he agreed to make the video with Jake. Subscribe to Louis’s YouTube channel if you want more videos like this and make sure you take a look at the video below!

And that’s all the eyewear news we have time for this week. Please come back next week for another B Sunglasses Round-up.
