Luxury Italian label Salvatore Ferragamo have been announced as costume designer for upcoming film ‘Rush’.
Starring Daniel Bruhl and Chris Helmsworth, ‘Rush’ follows the story of Austrian Seventies Formula 1 racer Niki Lauda (Bruhl). Ferragamo will be designing and creating the costumes for this period piece which covers Lauder’s rivalry with British playboy James Hunt (Helmsworth) and his own relationship with his wife Marlene Lauda, played here by Alexandra Maria Lara.
Ferragamo has created a look that encapsulates the time period as well as Lauder’s obsessive sportsman nature. Ferragamo’s Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti told Vogue UK; “To reflect his strong and unyielding character, I chose exclusive fabrics, clean cuts and sharp forms for his clothes: from impeccably tailored fitted Prince of Wales jackets to short suede jackets with leather trim combined with denim.”
Not only that; Italian eye-wear specialists Carrera have also designed exclusive new Carrera sunglasses frames for the movie to promote its release.
We at B Sunglasses are huge fans of Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses and Carrera and feel that their sleek, minimalist and classic sunglasses may make an onscreen appearance.
