Ray-Ban® Teams Up With Ferrari

Ray-Ban® is now a sponsor for Ferrari Formula 1 Cars.

It was recently announced that Ferrari and Luxottica Group have signed a sponsorship agreement whereby the Ray-Ban® brand will appear on the SF16-H Formula One cars, starting from the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

Sergio Marchionne, the chairman of Ferrari stated “Adding another prestigious brand like Ray-Ban® to our livery is very gratifying for Scuderia Ferrari, this new agreement strengthens the ties between Ferrari
and Luxottica, two major Italian companies with shared principles and values that are bothcontinuously striving for excellence.”

For many, Ferrari and Formula One racing have become inseparable. The only team to have competed in every season in F1 history, the Prancing Horse has grown from the humble dream of founder Enzo Ferrari to become one of the most iconic and recognised brands in the world. Success came quickly through the likes of Alberto Ascari and John Surtees, and continued – in amongst leaner times – with Niki Lauda in the 1970s and then Michael Schumacher in the 2000s, when Ferrari claimed an unprecedented five consecutive championship doubles, securing their status as the most successful and decorated team in F1 history…

So it seems like a pretty natural thing to happen for the two powerhouses to team up, we can’t wait to see drivers such as Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen wearing some pretty sweet sunglasses while they’re spraying that champagne around!
