Two of our favourite designers hit the runway with their SS15 collections at New York Fashion Week and we could not be more excited…
Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors both turned up the heat in Manhattan with youthful pastel shades, vibrant patterns and Spring-time splashes of colour. Marc by Marc Jacobs went for a quirky and eccentric sporting aesthetic with waterproofs, clear plastic and polka dot bra’s (worn over the shirt, naturally) as a throwback to playful ’90s kitsch with fun eye-catching prints. However refined clean-cut shapes, delicate and feminine floral prints and subtle Fifties and Sixties silhouettes seemed to be the look de jour for Michael Kors. Both collections had those refreshing pastel hues that make the Spring/Summer shows so wonderful that we almost forgot winter was just around the corner. Whilst Marc Jacobs chose powder blue and pink, Kors went for fresh yellows, navy and subdued yet airy monochrome checks; both of which had us counting down the days until 2015. Take a look at next year’s trends; all complete of course with the perfect shades….
