The Maldives is a romantic sanctuary of luxury and relaxation. Its enchanting underwater idyll is shadowed by picturesque white sand beaches and high-end resorts that offer a pampering paradise.

One of the most famous aspects of the Maldives is of course its beaches. Commonly noted as the best beaches of the world they truly are postcard perfection. The sparkling turquoise water laps up gently onto the soft bed of sand and once you’ve laid down and relaxed once you’ll never want to go home.

The dazzling vibrancy of colours and diversity of unusual shapes and sizes of marine life make it a dreamy place to explore. One of the top diving sites is the Banana Reef. Its a protected marine area and is internationally known for its the incredible diving experience it offers. The bright coral shimmers under the sunlight and the sea life to see includes barracuda, morays, snappers and bright schools of tropical fish.

For those unable to dive, or perhaps with a fear of exploring deep waters, there’s a Whale submarine trip to get your fix of tropical sealife. There are several locations to hop on, and it takes you right along the ocean reef for a glorious view of the waters.
