In the words of the brand itself, Bolon’s manifesto is to allow ‘The ultimate combination of fashion and elegance to suit your lifestyle.’ and the specs themselves ‘Express[ing] your style and charm through the elegance of modern fashion.’ The designs are simplistic in the best sense of the word: classic shapes and colour-ways are reinvented in a sleek style to perfectly suit brand ambassador and timelessly chic Anne Hathaway.
Elegant and understated Hathaway embodies the minimal yet enduring styles in a way that it seems only a renowned Hollywood star could do, and when exploring the photography of the current collection it’s clear that Bolon to a certain extent are trying to recapture the romantic image of the Golden Age Hollywood actress, such as Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly.

The sunglasses are made using precision laser cutting, meaning each segment and the various materials used fit seamlessly together, and online we have six classic styles that have been given the Bolon treatment, including clubmaster, cateye, oversized and aviator shapes in the brand’s typically simple colour palette and uncluttered design. The super thin steel and lenses used in the creation of these specs mean they are super lightweight, only adding to Bolon’s objective of a simple, sophisticated and stylish product.
