How to Wear Pink | The Big Pink for Breast Cancer

As many may be aware October is known as “Breast Cancer Awareness” month. On the 16th of October many people from all over the UK will participate in “The Big Pink” event. Whether it’s a dress down day at work or a coffee morning, every little bit of money raised goes towards helping those fighting breast cancer.

What do you think when you see pink? Whatever it is, we know if it’s pink it goes. From oversized coats to satchels, some chunky pink sunglasses or maybe even a pink shirt for you men, a little splash of colour has never caused any harm.
If you haven’t decided what to wear for The Big Pink Event, no need to panic!! We thought we would give you a little bit of help and inspiration and have come up with the best ways to style anything pink, follow our style advice below and you’re guaranteed to look cool whilst supporting an amazing charity.

A Statement Coat

An oversized pink coat is a must have in your wardrobe. It can brighten up any dull and colourless outfit. Whether it’s a sporty mac paired with a mixture of smart/casual wear, or a pastel pink number styled with some classic black skinny jeans, there’s something to everyone’s fancy.

The Pink Shirt

We haven’t forgot about you men out there, you can get involved too. A pale pink shirt paired with a dark denim jean and some smart shoes, you really can’t go wrong.

Dash of Pink

If you aren’t feeling a powder pink coat how about a pop of pink to through around you neck or over your shoulder? This pink faux fur shawl is perfect for those days you aren’t quite feeling like wearing a whole lot of colour, but still makes you look like you’ve made an effort with your outfit.

Socks or Tie?

Who say’s men can’t wear pink accessories? Which would you prefer, the perfect pair of pink socks or a smart and stylish tie to add a pop of colour to your outfit. The popular Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass styles a intense pink tie paired with a navy suit with a little added hanky in his pocket. If your’re looking for something more casual a subtle pair of pink socks hidden under your trousers also looks good.

The Perfect Bag

Maybe the shawl didn’t take your fancy. So how about a statement pink bag? From baby pink to fuchsia, a clutch to a holdall, all shapes and sizes can look great paired with the right pieces.

Man Bag

How about something along the lines of a clutch or small bag to switch up your outfit? Back in 2013 Burberry displayed a snakeskin metallic clutch bag for men in their London show and we loved it. Are you brave enough to try this look?

Bold Sunglasses

Finally, how about finishing your outfit off with a bold pair of pink sunnies? We’ve got plenty to choose from over on our website, from pink frames, to tinted pink lenses. We love these half rim Miu Miu sunglasses, with subtle pink frames, perfect if you don’t want something too out there. sdfgh
