Glastonbury 2017 – The Eyewear Edit

The greatest festival in the world (In our opinion) was on over the weekend, and it was a cracker. Some huge headline acts including Ed Sheeran and a return for Radiohead after 20 years. We have been keeping an eye out for the best eyewear spotted at Glastonbury 2017. Check it out.

The Band from Ohio took second billing on the Pyramid stage for Glastonbury 2017, behind headliners Foo Fighters. Lead singer Matt Berninger began the bands’ set with song “Sea of Love”; taken from their sixth album titled “Trouble Will Find Me”. Four of the bands’ last albums have been listed in NME’s 500 best albums of all time, and the band has a pretty large following. This was evident by how many happy fans in the crowd were singing along to the bands’ American Indie Rock charm word for word.

We spotted the band for another reason, though. Front man Berninger had some rather fetching glasses on, the frame resembles a pair of these Oakley RX Trillbe X Glasses in Black. The glasses have a classic shape with a modern, sporty finish. These glasses sit somewhere between sports and casual glasses and the black frame is versatile, allowing you to pair them with most outfit styles and colour schemes.

The Jacksons

Legendary status, The Jacksons were always going to be received well by Glastonbury 2017. A mass sing and dance along ensued, and truly encapsulated the spirit that comes with the festival. Fans this year seemed to be really enjoying themselves, leaving behind the dark places that this year seems to have brought with it. Transporting themselves in to the beautiful escape that the festival provides.

We loved the groups choice of Aviator Sunglasses. The silver frame and silver mirror lens of the sunglasses epitomizes the feel of The Jacksons, and looked awesome. Shop the style here with these Ray-Ban® Aviators .

Margo Price

For those who have never heard of Margo Price, she is Nashville Tennessee’s next rising country star. The new queen of country brought a feeling of sunshine with her from the states, as well as a beautiful set of heartache and America. The American singer hit the stage at Glastonbury 2017 and the crowd loved her powerful performance and statement for all women involved in music.

Her sunglasses were a particular highlight for us. She was wearing these amazing round sunglasses in black, similar to these Persol Suprema sunglasses.

Stella McCartney

Aside from the musicians, there is always a huge host of celebrities turning out to the festival. Glastonbury 2017 was no different, and the celebrities were out in full force showing off this years’ festival style. Stella McCartney was, rightly so, spotted wearing this lovely pair of Stella McCartney Sunglasses, the Double Bridge Round Sunglasses in Havana Grey. She was joined by husband Alasdhair Willis at the festival.

Nothing but Thieves

Front man from the British Alt Rock band Conor Mason was wearing one of this seasons most hyped styles, the tinted lens. The band from Southend-on-Sea truly blew everyone away with their set at Glastonbury 2017, with hard hitting guitar riffs and Masons’ powerful voice coming through. Definitely a highlight from the festival this year, and one that has put Nothing but Thieves well and truly on the map.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Conor Mason was wearing these awesome aviator sunglasses. Another tinted lens style we love are from Tom Ford. These Johnson sunglasses with a green tint lens and Havana frame are perfect.

Royal Blood

The british rock duo played an unbelievable set. As a two man band they make a hell of a lot of noise, and really know how to work the crowd. Lead vocalist Mike Kerr has an amazing voice and equally as outstanding guitar skills. Team those two things up with Ben Thatcher’s furiously talented drumming and you’ve got yourself a legendary Glastonbury 2017 performance.
Drummer Ben was seen wearing these classic Wayfarer sunglasses by Ray-Ban®.

Hugh Taylor and Millie Macintosh

Made in Chelsea love birds Hugh Taylor and Millie Macintosh were pretty much joined at the hip at Glastonbury 2017. We love their choice of sunglasses, though. Hugh was wearing a pair that resembled these 6013 Sunglasses by Carrera. Millie appeared to be wearing a pair of these awesome round sunglasses from the new Saint Laurent collection.
