The Former Royal Marines Commando Attempting a Record Breaking Solo Row

Stu Morton has just embarked on a remarkable solo rowing journey, and B Sunglasses are supporting him. His aim… well we will let him tell you himself.

“I will be the first person ever to Row solo from Portugal to Venezuela. The route is over 4000 miles and is completely unsupported. There is currently a solo rowing record for a continent to continent crossing at 96 days so if I beat that I’ll have two world records. I’m aiming for 63 days. In order to achieve this I will be rowing for up to 18 hours a day.

The reason behind the Row is that I know how important it is as a former Royal Marines Commando to constantly test ourselves and continually push to achieve extraordinary things. Life is incredibly short and a mental and physical challenge is such a healthy thing to do. I also want to show that though some former servicemen may suffer from mental health issues this does not make us weak minded and we can still achieve extraordinary things.

I will be raising money for two charities, the Jonny Wilkinson Foundation and Rock 2 Recovery which are two charities that help those suffering with PTSD or mental health issues.
