After Moncler announced that it would be dropping it’s high-fashion “Gamme” lines next season, you could be forgiven to think they were veering away from the catwalk to concentrate on their functional design roots. However it has also been announced recently that Moncler will be opening Milan Fashion Week on the 20th of February next year. See below on what exciting things to expect from the brand.
In a press release on Tuesday, the brand gave this statement:
“Moncler will mark a leap forward starting with 2018. The driving force behind this singular, energy-filled
journey is creativity, combined with an ongoing quest for uniqueness which engages the public with a
direct, immediate approach.

The future of Moncler starts now”
The brand intends to showcase both their men’s and women’s collection in the same show; a familiar format for the modern fashion week set-up. We expect them to display their upcoming AW18 collections, undoubtedly flaunting their innovative technology-led outerwear pieces mixed with contemporary fashion designs.
The collections look set to include many of their latest eyewear pieces, as the brand starts to incorporate many of these products in to the whole collection. The winter collections have always been Moncler’s strong point, given that they are specialists in keeping you warm. However, in recent years the avant-garde spring/summer collections have really allowed the brand to make a name for themselves, which is set to really heat up when they produce more of their hugely popular sunglasses styles. Moncler sunglasses were a new brand to B Sunglasses in 2017, but have really cemented themselves as a true contender for high end eyewear. We can’t wait to see what Moncler brings to the table for their opening show at Milan Fashion week, it’s certainly something to look forward to.
