Queer Eye’s Fabulous 5
Netflix’s Queer Eye is the show we never knew we needed. It’s warmed the hearts of viewers everywhere and that’s down to the fabulous 5, who transform people’s lives every episode. They had a night to remember at the Emmys. Firstly, the show won the award for Outstanding Picture Editing For A Structured Or Competition Reality Program, Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, and Outstanding Structured Reality Program. Plus, they spent the night walking the red carpet snapping pics with each of their idols on the night. All the while, of course, looking impeccably stylish. In particular, Jonathan Van Ness’s white flared tux stood out to us, paired with a fabulous purple handbag.
Lakeith Stanfield and Xosha Roquemore
Lakeith Standfield, best-known for his part in Atlanta, and his partner actress Xosha Roquemore, looked like the perfect ying and yang in their monochrome outfits. Stanfield’s suit, a black and white ensemble from Ermenegildo Zegna, was accessorized elegantly with a gold floral brooch.
Rachel Brosnahan won the award for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her hilarious role in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. The show’s first season followed the story of Mrs Maisel’s seemingly perfect life fall to pieces, only to find that she’s actually a lot happier starting fresh, following new passions and not fulfilling her role as the fitting housewife. Season 2 is coming soon and we couldn’t be more excited. Brosnahan wore a ombre red Oscar de la Renta gown, with a one off-the shoulder design that showed off her elegant figure and her glitzy earrings.
Tiffany Haddish was the winner of Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her stand-out role in Saturday Night Live. Her rainbow dress had her twirling down the red carpet, designed by Prabal Gurung for his latest creative collection.
