The Ray-Ban® Envision Blow-Up Party was the ultimate go-to event last week thanks to a competition winner Joel Duxbury and his favourite artists Disclosure.
Throughout 2013 Ray-Ban® have been touring the UK from Leeds to Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester to celebrate the wonderful world of Ray Ban sunglasses. The tour has featured top artists including Spector, Lion Girl, Theme Park, Splashh and Willy Moon and has attracted a number of celebrity guests. The tour eventually finished up in London back in July for a party in a Dalston WW2 Bunker, hosted and creatively directed by Ray-Ban® and artist Kate Moross,
However, Ray Ban decided to have one last farewell party for the tour which has celebrated five iconic lens features created by the innovative world famous eye-wear brand.
The Ray Ban Envision Party was conceived as part of a competition hosted by Ray-Ban® where fans could enter to describe their ideal fantasy music event to have it realised by Ray-Ban® themselves. Joel Duxbury, 20 from Blackburn was named as the winner selecting British electro duo Disclosure to guest DJ at his fantasy party. Revealed over Twitter in a series of teasers, Ray-Ban® announced the surprise guests on September 13th, prior to the party which saw the Oval Space in Bethnal Green, London be taken over by Ray Ban and their fans.
Krystal Klear also made an appearance at the event to perform a DJ set whilst the event itself was directed by Kate Moross to feature a giant bouncy castle and inflatable elements at Joel’s request. The ‘adult bouncy’ castle was one of the distinguishable and unique features at the venue and guests were photographed wearing their favourite Ray Ban sunglasses whilst bouncing in mid-air for a chance to win a signed poster.
