Cazal have launched their new campaign and it’s as bold as always. ‘The Cazal Job’ campaign continues the extraordinary style of Cazal with an edge because as they say ‘the biggest crime is to look average.’
In 1979 Austrian designer, Carl Zalloni created the innovative brand Cazal, making sunglasses that stand out in the crowd. Throughout the 80’s his success soared as rappers and musicians were seen donning his striking sunglasses to style their bold looks. His passion for revolutionising eyewear led to the Cazal style being recognised everywhere with the designs becoming a cult in the 80’s. Cazal’s designs became to characterise the hip-hop look of the decade and the brand was lovingly nicknamed ‘Cazzy’ by its fans.

‘The Cazal Job’ campaign is staged New York style and tells an exciting story, embodying films like ‘A Bronx Tale’ and ‘Donnie Brasco.’ Featuring in the campaign is actor Max Casella, models Kendall Harrison and Eli Cruz as well as rap star Michael “Kaves” McLeer. Also styling the glasses is Rich “Crazy Legs” Colon, president of the famous break dance group, the “Rock Steady Crew.” The actors create a film-inspired scenery, characterised by New York life and the heist movies of the 80’s. The boldness and extravagance of the images and set is in partnership with the luxury gold, silver, shiny and black sunglasses that feature in the new collection.
The distinctive Cazal brow-line is a prominent feature of the new collection, accentuating the thick frames and bold materials used.
These Aviator sunglasses feature in a grey camouflage and unique diamond drop-shaped lenses. The triple decor cut bridge is proudly urban and the gold geometric gold temple detail hints back to the 80’s decade of the Cazal cult designs and the hip hop scene.
