A tense thriller based on a declassified true story.

In 1979 tensions were high between the west and Iran; the Shah had been extradited to the USA, much to the displeasure of the Iranian people who are demanding his return.

Ben Affleck, as CIA agent Kevin Harkins, is trusted with the job of the safe return of 6 American operatives who’re holed up at the Canadian ambassador’s residence in the middle of Iran. That’s as much of the story as I’m willing to tell, but what happens next is a perfectly paced, edgy thriller interspersed with touches of light relief to give the viewer some respite from the tension that the film brings.

The film really plays up to its time setting and has the actors and sets fully absorbed in late 70’s fashion and most prominently sunglasses fashion. You see some classic sunglasses shapes from the RayBan Clubmaster, RayBan Aviator and Persol sunglasses which are all available to buy now from B Sunglasses.

If you’re not happy with that then ARGO f**k yourself.
