Fendi’s legacy of creating timeless and iconic style is displayed perfectly in this 10th anniversary. The Peekaboo bag is still a leading style today, seen in the hands of Gwyneth Paltrow and fashion icon Olivia Palermo. Silvia Fendi recently discussed the art of selling long-standing successful pieces: It bags are simple, complex and timeless. The idea for Peekaboo came really fast, but it was an idea of value because it’s a bag that I still adore today. I am never fed up with it and that’s interesting because when you work in fashion you really feel the need of doing new things. After 10 years, I think that the Peekaboo is the perfect bag. It’s good to see that a good idea is forever.”
To mark the anniversary Fendi made the second installment its #MeandMyPeekaboo series starring Kris and Kim Kardashian and her daughter North. Focusing on the idea of family, the first chapter showed creative director Silvia Fendi with her daughters in a video that explored their relationships. Silvia Fendi said “The bag passes the tests of time – my daughters like it and my granddaughter asked me to hold on to it for her.” This timeless bag appears with the Kardashians now, in a green meadow in Malibu. The Kardashian’s are without a doubt the most iconic family of our era and Fendi said she wished to show a more “intimate side” to them. The campaign images manage this intimacy with candid, spontaneous shots, and toned down hair and makeup. North sits on Kim’s knee, and the women look completely unposed and authentic. This intimate personality of family shares the message that the Peekaboo is a timeless piece to be passed on and on through generations and the style will be treasured. As well as these images, there’s also a short video set the Kanye West’s music. Plus, images capturing the lives of Ewan Gregor’s daughters, Clara and Esther in Los Angeles, sisters Jessica and Krystal Jung photographed in Seoul, and Hong Kong-based mother and daughter duo Kam Fung and Joey Yung make up the rest of the exciting campaign.

The Campaign short, A Day With Peekaboo, is a stunning series of vibrant illustrations by Italian artist, Cinzia Zenocchini. The sunglasses range is sophisticated, contemporary, and colourful.
